Scooter Rides

Call (970) 726-8326 or click here to schedule the experience of a lifetime.

THIS ACTIVITY IS FOR PHYSICALLY FIT INDIVIDUALS AGED 12 OR OLDER WITH GOOD BALANCE ONLY.

A HELMET, PROTECTIVE GLASSES, GLOVES, LONG SLEEVE SHIRT, LONG PANTS AND CLOSED TOE SHOES ARE REQUIRED. WE CAN PROVIDE THE HELMET, GLASSES AND GLOVES.

The Ride

Here is a basic timeline for our guided scooter tours.

  1. Arrive at your scheduled ride time. If you show up early, we may not be ready to receive you.
  2. Check-in with the Guest Wrangler in the smaller green building. If no guest wrangler is present, remain near the check-in area and call us: (970) 726-8326
  3. Sign the liability waiver.
  4. Step on the scale. This is important to know so that we can match you up with the right scooter and dog(s).
  5. Gear check. We can provide a helmet, protective glasses and gloves. You must provide a long sleeve shirt, long pants and closed toed shoes. ALL OF THESE ITEMS ARE REQUIRED IN ORDER TO RIDE.
  6. Get acquainted with your scooter and dog commands.
  7. Ride your scooter back to the trailhead and dog area.
  8. Meet your dog(s).
  9. Get your scooter set and your dog(s) hooked up.
  10. Enjoy 45 minutes out on our private trail system. The dogs get pretty hot pulling without snow on the ground, so we have to stop in the shade occasionally to cool them off. We also stop for a water break or two where the guests can take pictures if they like.
  11. Return to the kennel.
  12. Pet, kiss and take close up pictures with your sled dog(s).
  13. Thank your guide and head back to the check-out area.
  14. Leave a tip for your guide and settle your bill.
  15. Tell all your friends about us!

The trip covers about three and a half miles in about 30 to 45 minutes (depending on temperature and the number of water stops). The trails are situated on private property and we cannot allow guests to hike on the trails. We get to see some amazing views along the way including 13 thousand foot peaks, the Continental Divide and Winter Park Ski Resort.

We offer scooter rides at sunrise, sunset and sometimes in between if it is cool enough on the days that we are not running sleds and when the trails are dry enough.

This video is a training run for Austin and Vegas.

This scooter ride was done in town, and not on our trail system. See more videos here.

Reservations are required for all services. You must have a major credit card to pay a 50% or 100% deposit at the time of booking.

Risks and Rules

If you are coming for a ride with us, it is helpful to read our risks and rules before you show up. We will review these with you before your trip, but if you already know them, your time with us will be safer and more enjoyable. Also below is a waiver. If you have a large group coming, it is helpful to have the liability waiver signed by everyone before you show up as well. It saves a little check-in time.
